On Sunday, September 7th, Mosaic: Interfaith Youth Action invites youth, friends, parents, guardians, and youth group leaders to join us at Needham Community Farm for an afternoon of hands-on learning, service, and connection. Together, we will explore the intersections of faith, food, and justice by learning about food insecurity and food deserts, and reflecting on how our diverse faith traditions call us to serve, steward the earth, and care for our neighbors.

Participants will work alongside one another to help grow healthy, sustainable produce for those in need, building friendships across lines of difference in the process. This event is a chance to earn community service hours, deepen your understanding of important social issues, and have fun while getting a little dirty in the soil. Food insecurity is not just about hunger, it’s about equity, access, and dignity, and through this farm-based experience, youth will be empowered to take meaningful action in support of their community.
