We are excited to share the success of Mosaic Interfaith Youth Action’s annual MLK Service Learning Day, which took place on January 15th, 2024, from 2 PM – 5 PM in Jamaica Plain.

What We Did:

Youth ages 12-18 gathered for an impactful afternoon focused on Housing Justice. Participants had the opportunity to hear from leaders in the field, gaining valuable insights into the ongoing fight for housing equity. The workshop also introduced youth to the basics of lobbying, empowering them with tools to advocate for change in their communities.

Hands-On Service:

In addition to learning, participants engaged in hands-on service learning that directly benefited a local nonprofit dedicated to providing necessities to individuals experiencing homelessness. Through their efforts, attendees contributed to improving the lives of those in need while deepening their understanding of social justice issues.

Gratitude:

We are incredibly thankful to everyone who joined us for this meaningful day of learning and service. Your dedication and compassion made a lasting impact.

Thank you for being part of this powerful experience—together, we are building stronger, more just communities!
